Harold "FYÜTCH" Simmons II

GRAMMY-nominated music and social justice artist.

Specializing in multi-disciplines, he prides himself on being an educator with a vast creative resume spanning several decades. Born in Gary, IN, he began public speaking at age seven, winning a city-wide speech contest and speaking at the US Capitol. In high school, he founded the jazz and hip-hop band, Biscuits and Gravy, as the lead singer and was the opening act for notable figures such as Kanye West and Pharell.

Embarking on a solo career, Fyütch, originally conceived as 'Future,' symbolizes the power of understanding one's past to navigate the future.

This mantra highlights the importance of acknowledging our roots to pave the way for what lies ahead. Fyütch uses hip-hop, spoken word, and visual storytelling to promote racial equality and liberation. His unique blend of catchy social justice content covers topics like Black History, Indigenous Peoples, empathy, and sustainability.


In 2017, he merged his musical and teaching passions, creating classroom-friendly songs that quickly went viral on YouTube, gaining recognition from educators and parents alike.

This led to him leveraging his talent for songwriting and poetry, to create social justice-based curriculums. Fyütch leads music, poetry, performance workshops and assemblies for students of all ages, not to mention corporations like Adidas, Verizon, and Warby Parker. His music has also been featured on platforms like MTV, Vibe Magazine, The Today Show, CBS News, The Nick Cannon Show, NPR and radio stations worldwide. His song “Black Women in History” charted #1 on Sirius XM Kids Place Live.
